Whether used as it is in a variety of desserts or processed into different by-products for consumption, milk is an essential part of most cuisines. It is widely popular in many countries because of its health benefits. Milk is rich in protein, calcium, vitamin D, potassium and many other minerals to keep our body and bones strong. It helps in overall bodybuilding. While some prefer it hot, few others like their milk cold. In any case, both of these kinds come with different advantages as suggested by experts.

Drinking warm to hot milk at night has been an age-old remedy to boost the quality of the sleep. Experts explain this is due to the presence of amino acids that aid good sleep. Warm milk also helps to release the hormone of happiness to uplift your mood and help you relax. One may also consume a glass of heated milk in the evening to reduce stress levels.

Another age-old remedy to boost immunity is to drink warm milk with turmeric. This golden milk fights off cell damage, infections, and diseases. This is also beneficial to aid relief from sore throat, flu, fever or cold. A combination of honey and milk is also excellent as it anti-bacteria in nature.

On the other hand, a chilled glass of milk is known to treat acidity and stomach ulcers. According to experts, cold milk can also aid weight loss due to the presence of calcium that improves the metabolism of the body and therefore burning more calories in the body. If you’re someone who tends to get dehydrated often, consuming a cool glass of milk right after waking up can improve the water levels of your body. However, cold milk must be avoided by people who tend to catch a cold easily, especially for older people and children. Cold milk during winter tends to cause cold and coughs.
