For centuries, women have been using lemons in their beauty and skincare routines. The reason for this is that lemons contain properties that can absorb excess oil from the skin, can help even out your skin tone, can get rid of scalp issues like dandruff and can even make your skin firmer and tighter. And of course, no one wants to let go of such a wonderful ingredient, do they? So, if you've been planning on using lemons in your skincare regime but don't know where to begin, here are some tips that'll help.

Make a lip scrub - All you need is one teaspoon of brown sugar and one teaspoon of lemon juice (use some more if needed). Mix these together to make a thick and granular paste. Rub this paste on your lips gently and it'll work as an exfoliant to give you beautiful and soft lips in no time.

Make a face mask - You'll need some lemon juice, some coconut water and some rose water for hydration. Mix these three ingredients together and transfer the mixture into a spray bottle. Spritz it onto your face and leave it on for about 15 minutes before rinsing it off.

Make a hair mask - Mix some lemon juice with some aloe vera gel and some honey. After mixing these three ingredients together, apply the paste generously to your hair and scalp and leave it on for at least 20 minutes. Use a mild cleansing shampoo afterwards.
