It's no secret that the coronavirus outbreak has had devastating effects on the world. What started out as simple flu, spread all across the globe in no time and has led to unbelievable numbers of fatalities. One country that was severely affected by the pandemic is Italy. Apart from having a high number of fatal cases the people there are also struggling with the shortage of protective equipment and other medical devices.

In light of such issues, fashion brands like Armani and Louis Vuitton have stepped up to help out as much as possible. Designer Giorgio Armani who runs fashion brand Armani had donated almost 2 million euros to Italian hospitals. Confindustria Moda, a consortium of Italian textile and fashion companies is now to start producing millions of face masks to help make up for the scarcity.

The group says that these masks would be used for, “the individual protection of healthcare workers engaged in the fight against the Coronavirus disease.” On the other hand, LVMH which is Louis Vuitton's parent company has said that they will start using their perfume line to come up with hand sanitisers that can help protect people during the outbreak.

Multiple other fashion brands like Yves Saint Laurent, Balenciaga, Christian Siriano, Brandon Maxwell, Michael Costello and Prada are also doing their best to help during these dire times. Stay tuned for more updates.
