How many of you'll have dreamt of blemish-free skin? Well, it can now be a reality! Nothing short of a miracle, a vaccine has been created by scientists that could potentially put an end to acne forever. What does that mean? One pinch and no more pimples. No side effects too! How great is that, right? Acne is one of the most common skin conditions we all face, men included and scientists from the University of California, San Diego, are now in the process of developing what could be a vaccine for the skin disorder.

Acne, also medically known as acne vulgaris, is a frustratingly complex condition to be solved just by a jab, however, this vaccine is all set to do the impossible. Lead researcher Eric C. Huange said, "Acne is caused, in part, by P. acnes bacteria that are with you your whole life and we couldn't create a vaccine for the bacteria because, in some ways, P. acnes are good for you," a leading portal reported. He added, "But we found an antibody to a toxic protein that P. acnes bacteria secrete on skin - the protein is associated with the inflammation that leads to acne."

Eric's team at the University of California San Diego have developed a vaccine that will block the acne-causing effects of the bacteria without harming the benefits of bacteria. So far, the vaccine has produced good results and the next steps of this clinical trial will lead to hopefully making the vaccine public within the next couple of years.
