Advances in the field of medicine have made life easier for people suffering from diseases previously thought of as incurable. But while this has helped people live longer and healthier lives, can it make people immortal? Well, looks like science can do it all!

As part of what seems like a concept straight out of a science fiction movie, the super-rich in the world are having their brains frozen in hopes of being resurrected! Yes, you read that right. They are paying as much as Rs 71 lakh in hopes of being resurrected in the next 200 years. Cryogenics involves deep freezing of the body and is seen as a way to beat death. A businessman who recently opted for this process believes he will wake up centuries later to experience a new life in another body where his brain is placed.

However, experts do not think yet that there is much hope of success as organs like the heart and kidneys haven’t been frozen and thawed yet. Advocates of brain freezing have seen this process as a miracle and they claim that bodies can actually be revived in the future because medical science will develop.

The service is being offered by the Alcor Life Extension Foundation based in Scottsdale, Arizona. The company is headed up by Bristol-born scientist Dr. Max More and his team of eight people.
