Maintaining hair health is as much important as it is to maintain skin health. Our hair needs a lot of attention as we step out, face the sun, let it get dirty in the pollution and sweat it out due to the heat too. Since our hair is too sensitive, it needs proper ways in which we can protect it from anything and everything harmful. And since it's summer, a lot of us are going to be stepping out soon post the lockdown days, which means the harmful sun rays will very much damage our hair.

This is why, we're here to list down a few ways in which you can protect your hair from the sun:

- Use a scarf: One of the best ways to take care of your hair during the hot days of the season is to keep a scarf with you at all times. You can tie it around your head and secure all your hair inside the scarf if need be. This will act as a protective layer around your soft and silky hair.

- Use a leave-in conditioner: Leave-in conditioners are the best as they create a sunblock and sort of a screen that shields a scorching sun.

- Tie your hair: If you know you're going to be out in the sun for too long, make sure you're tying your hair in a bun, braid or even a ponytail. Whatever suits you or however you like it. This will also protect your hair from the harmful rays of the sun.

- Use a serum: This one is a really easy and protective way to deal with hair health during summers. Since many of you might be using a lot of hair styling and other products, hair serum works wonders to keep the hair quality intact and remove tangles from the hair and even fights frizz.

- Try dry shampoo: Not too often, but a dry shampoo can really be a saviour during summers on days when you either don't feel like taking a hair wash or don't have the time to take one. Dry shampoo will help you get rid of the greasy hair and shift it to rather dry fresh looking hair for a couple of days more.

- Control frizz: One very important thing to do is to control your frizz when you're stepping out in the sun. Sun can damage your hair and make it frizzy and so you can tie your hair up so that it reduces sweating which in turn lowers down the frizz.
