This is how you can protect your skin from fungal infections during monsoon

It is because of the moisture that bacteria breeds and infection spreads. There's a lot of moisture in the air especially during monsoon. It's the humidity that helps bacteria bred at a quicker rate than usual and all the moisture in the air in turn helps it spread even faster and ultimately infect more people. This results in fungal infection during the rainy season.

Fungal infection is quite a common problem that arises in this weather and our skin gets more prone to it because of the exposure that it has. This is why you'll have to tweak your usual skincare routine so that you can be sure of your skin being safe from all these fungal infections. Not to forget, this infection can spread throughout your body and make you itchy and irritated. And so, it is very important to take precaution and prevent skin infection during the season when it pours. Go through these steps that you can take in order to prevent fungal infection:

- It's very important to dry out your skin every time you get wet in the rain or sweaty and dirty due to the humidity. Get out of your wet clothes as soon as you can if you've gotten drenched in the rain so that you don't end up giving the bacteria any chance to grow and infect you.

- It's your feet that the function infection will firstly target. If you wear closed shoes a lot while traveling during monsoon, chances are that you're giving bacteria a reason to grow on your feet. Make sure your socks are dried up if in case they get wet due to the rain or even your shoes. The water can very much enter your shoes and dirty your feet. Make sure you wash your feet once you get to work or at least clean your shoes dry to not let any fungal infection grow. Try using open footwear to work.

- Make sure your hair is dry and clean. It's natural for some rain drops to fall on your head while you step out of your house to travel from one place to the other. Your hair also tends to carry bacteria and germs because of which people end up having skin infections. Since your hair constantly touches your face, the germs come in contact with our skin and our scalp and infects our skin quite easily. It's crucial to keep your hair clean and wash them every few days in order to get rid of all the dirt and pollution.

- Try and take a bath daily after you get home. You can add a few drops of antiseptic in the water before you take a bath. Lukewarm water is preferred more as the heat and antiseptic will help kill all the bacteria and germs eventually keeping your skin safe and clean.
