If you’ve been reading the news lately on the spread of the newfound coronavirus, chances are you are as scared as we are. But, first thing first, relax! After the slow and steady spread of the virus across nations, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has requested people to take effective measures for prevention since there’s no cure so far to the virus. However, these prevention measures mainly include washing hands effectively-every two hours, with anti-bacterial soap and hot water, for a minimum of 20 seconds. But, you might also run a risk of falling ill from germs living inside your house. Did you think about it? Take our suggestion and implement these effective ways of cleaning your house to fend off coronavirus or any other germ in the on-going flu season.

Start by preparing your cleansing tools. Make sure you are wearing a set of disposable gloves and face masks while cleaning. You will also need disinfectant that can help against COVID-19, anything else won’t do. You can use a bleaching solution too. The house should have ample ventilation.

Start by mopping the floor with a disinfectant or bleaching solution. You can use the same solution for cleaning the toilet as well.

For deep cleansing your kitchen, first, ensure your food items are covered. Continue wiping every corner of the kitchen, including the washbasin, slab, window panels, and the cupboard. Make sure you leave the window open for the cleansed areas to air dry. We recommend cleaning the fridge as well with alcohol like vodka to kill any growth of bacteria.

You also require to clean your home furnishings like pillow covers and bedsheets frequently, at least once in a week. You can soak them in hot to lukewarm water for deep cleaning, before dumping them in the washing machine. Ensure you are keeping your dryer clean.

Keep on sanitizing the frequently touched areas such as doorknobs, handles, armrests, and switches.

Once done finish off by washing your entire body with anti-bacterial soap. Don’t forget to avoid touching yourself, especially eyes and mouth during the process of cleansing.
