This is the one thing you absolutely need to do during the coronavirus outbreak!

By now we're sure you know all about the deadly coronavirus pandemic that has taken the entire world by storm. It started in Wuhan, China and has since then spread to over 114 countries with about 185,461 people affected of which 7,332 have passed away. Needless to say, people everywhere are panicking and are trying their best to prevent catching the virus and are also taking necessary precautions. But in all honestly, people just need to do one thing first and that will ensure everyone stays safe. We're talking about social distancing.

As of now, about 151 cases of positive COVID-19 patients have been discovered in India and 3 people have already lost their lives. Scientists all around the world are doing their best to find a vaccine but it all seems to be in vain. That is why the World Health Organisation along with the governments of various countries have advised that people start practising social distancing.

In other terms, the Ministry of Health has described social distancing as 'social distancing is a non-pharmaceutical infection prevention and control intervention implemented to avoid/decrease contact between those who are infected with a disease-causing pathogen and those who are not, so as to stop or slow down the rate and extent of disease transmission in a community'. In layman's terms they mean to stay at home and away from people.

This also means that you should avoid stepping out as much as possible and make sure you don't go to crowded places like pubs, bars, weddings, funerals, events etc. And if you're forced to go out then at least ensure that you keep a distance of at least 6-feet from each other.

And if you're wondering what to do at home during all the time you're forced to stay in, find a hobby like doodling or cook something new, read a book, finish watching that series you've been dying to watch, paint - your nails, the wall, your furniture, a canvass! The bottom line is that there's so much to do even when you're stuck at home. So stay home, stay safe and make sure to stay clean.
