A matcha pudding recipe created by Ali Miller, the author of 'Anti-Anxiety Cookbook', could help reduce anxiety and inflammation. The pudding includes ingredients like matcha tea powder, lime juice, coconut milk, lime zest, lemon juice, blackberries, and honey.

It is important to fuel your body with the right nutrients - vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and amino acid- in order to ensure the proper functioning of neurotransmitters, which can help tackle anxiety, improve mood, and reduce your food cravings. Neurotransmitters also help manage inflammation and cognition.

Managing these conditions is important as psychological stress can increase the risk of infectious diseases and heart disease, according to a study conducted by a team from Carnegie Mellon University. Researchers discovered this kind of stress hinders the body's ability to regulate the inflammatory response.

"Inflammation is partly regulated by the hormone cortisol and when cortisol is not allowed to serve this function, inflammation can get out of control," study author Sheldon Cohen, the Robert E. Doherty Professor of Psychology within CMU's Dietrich College of Humanities and Social Sciences, told a news portal.

When the body is unable to regulate inflammatory response your health is in a vulnerable state. "The immune system's ability to regulate inflammation predicts who will develop a cold, but more importantly it provides an explanation of how stress can promote disease," Cohen told a news portal.

Adding, "When under stress, cells of the immune system are unable to respond to hormonal control, and consequently, produce levels of inflammation that promote disease. Because inflammation plays a role in many diseases such as cardiovascular, asthma and autoimmune disorders, this model suggests why stress impacts them as well."

Researchers also reveal oxytocin, a feel-good hormone, can help tackle anxiety. Finding ways to boost oxytocin levels may help you manage anxiety.
