Cleaning the oven time to time seems like a tedious task and it can honestly get too boring. But there are too many ways with which you can make it easy to clean the oven. The best part of these hacks is that it's pretty much all of the best oven-cleaning solutions you can make with ingredients that you have in your kitchen.

Before you get to cleaning the stubborn mess in an oven that you haven't cleaned in months, you must first get rid of any loose charred leftovers that lurk around at the bottom. You can do that by vacuuming with all appliances removed properly.

Bicarbonate of soda, water and white vinegar is all you need for oven cleaning. This hack will surprise you how good it works when it comes to getting rid of the dirt on your oven.

You can mix half a cup of bicarb with water to create a thick paste and then you can spread it all oven the inside of your oven with the help of a paintbrush. From the door to the bottom to the inside wall, you can cover it all in this paste. Although, you need to avoid the heating fixtures.

You can leave this paste overnight to do its job. You can then mix equal parts of white vinegar and water in a spray bottle and spray it onto the paste to create a foaming action. The fizzing that will occur will lift away all the stubborn dirt and grease particles. This will make wiping all of it with a damp cloth quite easier.

Another way to pick dirt and grime without much effort is by steaming the oven before yo tackle with it manually. For this, you can take a large pot and bring about a third of the pot full of water to boil. Then, add the same amount of white vinegar and boil for the next 30 seconds. While the mixture is still hot, you can place it in the centre of a cold oven for 45-60 minutes. This method will make over cleaning with traditional oven cleaner or a sponge and washing up liquid much easier.

You can clean the oven racks in the bath. You can soak them in a hot bath with a normal dishwashing tab. The vinegar solution mentioned above can also be of help. It will soften the hardened dirt and make it easier to wipe and clean the metal.
