We've been doing our best to keep things working despite being thrown into chaos due to the pandemic. And although everyone has been trying their hardest, there are always days when stress takes over and panic sets in. The one thing you absolutely must look after during these trying times is your health - both physical and mental. We all know that a bad mental state can have negative effects on your physical health as well. So, if you've been finding it hard to stay positive during the current situation, here are some tips that will help give your mental health a much-needed boost.

Consume a balanced diet - Now is not the time to be bingeing on junk food. Although that sugar rush might make you feel amazing at that moment, remember that the effects of it last only for a little while and that in the long run eating such junk and unhealthy foods can only be bad for you. Try to eat healthy instead. Make sure your diet consists of vitamins, proteins, nutrients, essential fats etc.

Get some exercise - Just because you're at home doesn't mean you have to be a couch potato all day long. Get up and get moving. Do some exercises at home. There are so many things you can opt for, whether it's a fun cardio session or a groovy dance session. As long as you're getting about 30 minutes of activity at least 5 days a week, you'll notice how effective it can be in combating stress.

Sleep well - Getting the right amount of sleep is just as important. You might be tempted to stay up late and wake up late but this entire process will just mess up your sleep cycle. Instead, make a proper sleeping schedule and stick to it. You'll see just how effective even such mundane things can be in making you feel better.

Pick up a hobby - Now that you finally have some extra time on your hands, make sure to opt for a hobby that you like. It could be painting or doodling or making some music or just simply reading a book. Anything that qualifies as 'me' time will help make you feel better because you'll finally be able to spend time doing what you like.

Keep these tips in mind and stay tuned for more updates.
