When it comes to nourishing and moisturising your hair, nothing works better than oil. A regular champi or maalish can work wonders for your hair and your scalp by boosting hair growth and nourishing your hair follicles. However, as it is with everything else, even with oiling your hair you must remember that moderation is key. If you overdo it, it will only weigh your hair down and make you uncomfortable. So, if you've accidentally over-oiled your hair and can't figure out what to do, here are some tips that help reduce excess oil from your hair.

Use a shampoo that lathers - Shampoos that lather, often contain sulphates that can help get rid of excess oil quickly. So, opt for one that lathers a lot as it can help ensure that no residue amount of oil remains in your hair after washing it.

Use some blotting paper - If you'd like for the oil to remain in your hair for a while but don't want so much of it in your hair either, just use some blotting papers. Tap them along your scalp and hair and they'll soak up all the excess oil. This way you can leave the right amount of oil in your hair without worrying about any greasiness.

Opt for some dry shampoo - You can opt for some dry shampoo to help soak up the excess oil. Just brush your hair and spritz on some dry shampoo and it'll work wonders. Remember to not overdo it though, or else it might leave some residual product in your scalp.

Keep these tips in mind and stay tuned for more updates.
