A beauty segment which runs on a popular TV show in Pakistan has been condemned for artificially darkening the skin of their models. There's been indignation in Pakistan after a TV show darkened the faces of models to show how makeup looks on dark skin tones. The fair-skinned models were painted with makeup to demonstrate how bridal makeup looks on darker skin.

Twitteraties have criticised the TV show for the scornful act done. Here how they reacted to the beauty segment:

A user said, “Embrace all skin tones they are all beautiful. To think otherwise is brainwashed.”

Another user said, “All Girls Are Beautiful Here, No One Has Inferiority Complex.”

A user replied, “Ew seriously? With all the beautiful & (actually) dark skinned women in Pakistan to choose from & ya'll do this atrocity?”

Another user replied, “So what! who cares? this is just stupid. I do not know anyone that is upset about this... do you ? If you do then tell those people to get a life and concentrate on something that is REAL.”

“The internet has the power to be malignant and harsh at times, I hope it is also used to educate and inform. Racism is not okay. Not in the West or the East, not anywhere. It’s about time we learned this.”
