The Covid-19 virus has created mass panic amongst the people due to its dreaded fatality levels. Needless to say, people are staying indoors and practising all the health guidelines issued by the WHO and the government. But while we're keeping ourselves physically safe, this unseen threat is causing damage to our mental health and the people affected the most by this are parents and children.

For parents, it's a nightmare to even imagine their child falling prey to such a deadly virus. And for the children, it can be daunting to be cooped up indoors all the time with no way and nowhere to release all that energy that they have. This is why it becomes even more important for parents and children to find ways in which they can control their anxieties. Here are some tips that might help.

- Do chores together: One of the best ways to stay engaged and make sure that your entire family is working together is by doing all your chores together. You and your spouse can help each other out and this will also give your kids a way to expend some of that energy they have.

- Exercise together: Yet another way to bond with your family while staying fit is to opt for exercise sessions together. You could so anything you want and if exercise isn't your cup of tea, why not just opt for a dance session instead? It'll be super fun and it'll help you burn calories.

- Make time for yourself: You don't have to do everything together. If you have a hobby you want to opt for or if you just want to sit around for a bit, tell your family and encourage them to do something on their own too. It'll help give you all some space from each other and let you do your own thing for a bit too. And believe us, when you're stuck at home with the same people for days, some space is also essential to help keep you in good spirits.

- Just have a heart-to-heart with them: If you have the time, sit with your kids and have a heart-to-heart with them. Tell them about stories from your childhood and engage them in an interesting conversation. It'll help your kids get to know you better and will also serve as an example for them.

Follow these tips and remember, this too shall pass. Stay tuned for more updates.
